PT, THE ORIGINAL TELESCOPIC CLARK MAST

The PT Series were the very first air operated Clark Masts to be developed and now form part of Clark's Phase 2 Series

. The early masts featured heavy aluminium alloy construction, anodised for corrosion resistance, keyed tube sections enabling the mast to be turned, adjustable bearing surfaces for long life and a coned ring system for rigidity when fully extended. Today's masts still carry these features plus torsional locking and other improvements. Like all Clark air-operated masts, extension is by low pressure air, maximum pressure 1.8 kg/cm3. From their introduction in the 1950's the original PT masts were immediately attractive to organisations involved in television field strength measurement and radio/television news reporting vehicles. Today, they are still the first choice for these applications. Clark have a wide range of Mounting, Guying and Air Accessories available for the PT mast series, including Vehicle Roof Mounting Trolleys and field mounting Tripods.

YT SERIES, THE PT'S BIG BROTHER

The YT Series is a development of the PT, however it features a 127 mm (5") diameter base tube which increases the weight and height capacity. In other respects it is essentially the same as the four models in the PT range which also have 127 mm base sections. Both the PT and YT form part of Clark's Phase 2 series and are available with plain guide collars for low retracted height or locking (combined) collars used for long periods extended without a continous air supply. There is also a very full range of accessories available for easy installation in a wide variety of vehicles. In addition the masts may be field mounted and guyed using Clark Accessories.
